SOPHIE: EDB 9/05, calico, short hair
We don't know a lot about Sophie's history, but we do know that she is painfully shy and that it will take a person with a lot of time, patience and love to bring her around. She has been at Happy Tails since she was a little over a year old. She had one very short adoption, but the person didn't have the time to spend with her, so returned her. Her former adopter said that she was friendly, but very timid. She is a very pretty cat, and you can tell that she wants to be friends, but doesn't know how, or has forgotten how. If you can give her the chance she deserves, we are certain that you and Sophie would be rewarded eventually by a beautiful friendship. |

ROSALINDA: EDB 6/02, black and white tuxedo, short hair
Rosalinda has been back at Happy Tails since February 2007. She had a very nice adoption and was very happy, but unfortunately her owner died. Even though she gets along with the other cats at the Adoption Center, she probably needs to be an only cat because she likes all the attention, and she definitely likes all the food. She has gotten a little heavy and needs someone who can resist her pleas and put her on a strict diet until she loses some weight. But she is a sweet and quiet girl who can warm up your home and heart—even though she has lost her girlish figure. |

LOVE: EDB 3/05, black, short hair
Love is a beautiful, sleek black cat. She was found as a lost and small kitten in someone's back yard when she was two months old, and a good Samaritan brought her to Happy Tails. She gets along well with other cats, and at one time she got along well with dogs—but it has been a couple of years since she's seen one, so she might need some adjustment time. She's a little shy around people, but warms up when allowed to do so in her own time and way. She is famous around the Adoption Center for being able to get her collar off—she is known as the only black cat without a collar. That is how we tell new volunteers to recognize her. We've never seen her take it off, but she gets it off during the first night after we put it on her – so she's good at magic tricks! |

STRIPES: EDB 8/03, brown/black tabby, short hair
Stripes was dumped by someone and found living with feral cats in the neighborhood. He is the most beautiful tabby you may ever see. He has broad stripes and very thick fur, and striking eyes. We have to be honest and tell you that Stripes is a cat that we have trouble getting our hands on because he is so afraid. We don't know how he got that way. But, the good news is that a new volunteer took him into her home (with his best friend, Sweet Pea) for two months, and he made huge progress there, so now we know his potential. He will still need a person with patience, and more patience, and lots of love, and maybe one who wants Sweet Pea also. They did play together and touched noses to check in on each other. His foster parent says that it will take him 4-6 weeks to come out of hiding, and about 7-8 weeks to be out and about the house. He is very intrigued by interactive toys. He did make progress at the foster home, because we can now pet him on the head for a few minutes. If he had a permanent home and learned to trust you, he could end up being the best cat you ever met—and you would have so much satisfaction knowing that you helped him reach his potential.

JULIUS II I am Siamese—if
you please—and I do love to please and give you
attention. Sitting in your lap and hugging plays a large
role in being your companion cat. I might be a bit too
forceful for young children, but I will be a great cat
for adults.
Even though I am FIV positive, and should be an only
cat, I am a big, sweet, energetic guy who will look into
you face with my big blue eyes and purr and love you. |

ASH: EDB 10/06, male, silver/grey tabby, short hair Ash is a relative newcomer to Happy Tails. He was found living under a house that was being remodeled. He was starving, but willing to make friends for food. The kind people who found him fed him, paid for him to have veterinary care, and discovered that he was a former Happy Tails cat, so they returned him to us. He was so skinny it was scary; he ate everything we put in front of him. Now, he's back to normal weight and just the most handsome, sweet boy you would ever want to meet. He has a beautiful and unusual coat of silver, grey and black stripes. We aren't sure how he ended up on his own, but he's been through a lot and really deserves to have a nice new home. He is friendly and affectionate and any home would be lucky to have him. |

MINNIE: EDB 10/00, grey and white, long hair Minnie came to Happy Tails in September 2007, after showing up as a stray in the back yard of someone who befriended her, fed her, and got her to our Adoption Center. She is a beautiful cat with a nice personality. She was adopted for a short time last fall, but her new family accidentally let her outside and she got lost for about a month. They finally found her, but she was sick, so they brought her back to Happy Tails. She is now healthy and ready for a new family. She is a favorite of ours, and we wouldn't like to lose her, but she deserves a nice loving family, and she would be a great addition to your home. We don't know if she likes children, but she gets along with grown ups for sure, and she gets along with most of the other cats at the Center. |
