Planned Giving
What would you do if you could no longer care for your pets, or what will happen when you pass away? Who will care for your pets? Often it is just not possible to have family or friends take in your animals. Happy Tails' planned giving program can put your mind at ease regarding your pets‘ well-being.
We all know that at some time, we will leave this earth and perhaps go meet our beloved animal friends over the rainbow bridge. Happy Tails has a program in place for bequests and wills. So that when you leave, you can still continue to help. Every gift, no matter how small, makes a difference in the life of a needy animal. Monthly programs
You can arrange to support Happy Tails on an ongoing basis by having your bank send us a check automatically. Most local banks have a program where they can deduct a specific amount from your checking or savings account each month and send it directly to Happy Tails. That way you won't have to remind yourself to do it, and the bank will provide a record of your tax-deductible donation...and the animals will love it.
Gifts for people who have everything
You can donate to Happy Tails in honor of a friend. Happy Tails has preprinted gift cards that tell the receiver that you have made a donation to Happy Tails in their name. Stop by our Adopt-A-Pet Center today to make a donation and have Happy Tails send the card. You can call (916) 556-1155 for more information. These donations make great gifts for animal lovers and help support our efforts to help the animals in the process.
State/Federal Combined Employees United Way Campaigns
Happy Tails is approved to receive donations through the Combined United Way Campaign for State and Federal Employees. By designating Happy Tails as the recipient agency an employee's donations will be deducted from their paychecks automatically and sent to Happy Tails.
The Happy Tails identification number for State employees is #16033; for Federal employees it is #6015. Private sector employees and others who wish to donate through their United Way Campaigns can do so by writing in Happy Tails' name and address on their contribution forms: Happy Tails, P.O. Box 161994, Sacramento, CA 95816-1994.
