Opportunities

If you are interested in one of our many opportunities, please check out our Getting Started page.
Here are just a few of our many adult volunteer opportunities. Training is provided and new volunteers are mentored as they learn the job.
Adoption Center Clean-Up Crew (Weekly or biweekly): Ensure the cats stay healthy and happy and customers want to visit longer. This is a critical role. Keep our facility clean — sanitize cat enclosures and cages, dishes, cat beds, towels, replenish food & water, etc. Be amongst great cats and volunteers who are thankful for your help!
Adoptions Assistant (3-hour shift, weekly or biweekly): Volunteers are taught the ins and outs of screening potential adopters to help them through the pet adoption process. Customer service and caring for the adoptable animals is also performed in this very fulfilling role!
Feral Colony Feeder (1 hour a week or more): Happy Tails maintains several safe, healthy, sterile feral colonies. Volunteers are needed to care for the cats and maintain the feral colonies. You will be trained to feed and water at one location one day or more per week.
Foster Caregiver: You provide the TLC, we provide the animal, food and supplies. You transport animal to and from our vet for care, we cover the cost (must be pre-approved). You transport animal to adoption sites, we help find them homes. It’s very rewarding when you see the animals you helped get a great forever home!
Fundraising & Special Events: Assist, plan, or coordinate one of the many special events and fundraisers that raise much needed funds for our animals. This is a fun way to help while socializing with volunteers and customers.
Follow-Up (Once a month): Call customers who adopted an animal from us. Provide information, answer questions and verify the well-being of the adopted animal. You will be provided with a list of questions to ask.
Junior Volunteering: Junior Volunteers help with a number of important duties including clean-up, basic grooming, animal socialization and assisting adult volunteers. More information is provided when you contact the Junior Program Coordinator.
