iGive
For every purchase using iGive, Happy Tails will receive a percentage as a donation. There are more than 680 stores — such as Borders, Whole Foods and JC Penney — associated with iGive. Check out the Give List of Stores. To register, go directly to the Happy Tails iGive Page.
Network for Good
Happy Tails can also accept online donations through the Network for Good. All money for the animals goes directly to Happy Tails. Check their website at www.NetworkforGood.org or www.helping.org for this and other services they provide.
Employer Matching Donations
Many employers will match employee donations to eligible charities. Check with your payroll office to see if your employer has this program. Some employers will match dollar for dollar, or even $2 for every dollar you give. Now that’s an easy way to help.
United Way/State & Federal Employees Charitable Campaigns
Happy Tails is approved to receive donations through the combined state and federal employee campaigns administered by the United Way. By designating Happy Tails as the recipient agency, employees’ donations are deducted from paychecks automatically and sent to Happy Tails. The Happy Tails identification number for state employees is #16033; for federal employees it is #51529. Private-sector employees and others may also donate through United Way by writing in Happy Tails’ name and address on contribution forms: Happy Tails, P.O. Box 161994, Sacramento, CA 95816-1994.
Donate Your Vehicle
Donate your car, truck, trailer, RV or boat to Happy Tails. You will get a tax deduction equal to the value of your vehicle. To donate, call 1-800-401-8360. Now we can accept vehicle donations from anywhere in the United States.
GoodSearch
GoodSearch, powered by Yahoo!, donates 50 percent of revenue to registered nonprofit charities and schools, as designated by users. Use GoodSearch exactly as you would other search engines. The money GoodSearch donates to Happy Tails comes via its advertisers. You do not pay a dime! Go to www.goodsearch.com, and enter “Happy Tails Pet Sanctuary” in the “Who Do You GoodSearch For?” Then search the web as you normally would by using their web search box.
If you’re in the mood to spend, GoodSearch also includes GoodShop. Each purchase made via the GoodShop mall results in a donation from 3 percent to 20 percent or more to your designated charity.
